From such a terrible start to Fulham favorite and a song it's a real shame to see him go. Best wishes and good luck Bairdinho  065.gif

Bairdinho - A big thank you from me and all the very best for the future.

Ah the memories: that free kick at Stoke and thumping Bullard...

Forever Fulham

Now I have to watch West Brom games.  Damn.

Always sad to see a solid, long term player leave. Great attitude, he wants to play and not just pick up a pay cheque. Good luck. :clap_hands:

I remember the days when Baird's number would come up on the substitute board at around 85 minutes and you would hear 20,000 groans because we just knew how inconsistent and shaky he was.

Then suddenly he switched from RB to DM and he became a rock. Fair play to him I don't mind him so much as a player as I used to, good luck to him

It is amazing how over the years we changed our attitude to Baird, he ended up a really popular player.

He proved capable of playing well in any back four or central midfield positions. Surely without him we will be in need of another central defender.

Genuinely sorry to se him go. Woy sorted him out. From being booed when he came on he became a geniune favorite. Those 2 goals at Stoke I will never forget.

The problem when he was at RB was that he would keep drifting in (obviously to his preferred area of play) and allowing left wingers around the back.

He's a decent DM, but, hey ho, we have to move on....

No official confirmation of this as yet, but it's obvious he doesn't really figure in our plans now and a move to WBA would be a good one for all concerned.

I don't think there is any great mystery as to why, despite his limited talents, he became so popular here. He absolutely epitomised what a professional sportsman should be. He battled, always gave 100% and never complained (although he could express himself with some emphasis, as Mr Bullard could confirm). He faced and overcame real problems in life, a few people booing you on a Saturday probably doesn't phase you much when you have had petrol bombs chucked at your home.

A man to admire. I am sure all Fulham fan's will wish him well and be pleased to see him again in whatever colours.

As I remember, he was the only player to get more shite than Dempsey or Senderos. He was blasted every match. He stood strong, punched Bullard, kept his mouth shut and came good. He is a class act and will be missed.
Its not that I could and others couldn't.
Its that I did and others didn't.

was he that bad at the start i always ask..he did play in a god awful defence and did make some amazing last ditch tackles. Yes he wasnt a shining grace but I always saw him as peoples escape goat due to being new..In my eyes steven davis, healy, bouuza, kuqi were by far worst yet didnt get the stick he got...or am I just not remembering it correctly?

Come on. Kuqi was like a tree in Sequoia National Park. Tall, strong and immobile. :005:

Bairdinho, Zoltan, Simon Davies  -  I love all three, and hope they will always get a warm welcome at the Cottage.

I've always rated him high. Jol should have kept him, as he always did good job. At least he could be on the bench. I rate him more than Senderos even in stopper position.

Also afraid that Hughes will leave this summer. Next season we'll have only few UK players, and I don't like that. Domestic player always have some special impact in team.

When he first played for us he was awful. I would to shout out Baird call yourself a righr back you should be left back in the changing room.
He soon found his feet and was one of our better players over the past few years. I wish him all the best of luck at West brom.

I hope he gets a run-out in our last home match before he goes so we can give him the rousing send-off that he deserves. He's been a good 'un.
