Latin motto....

I (for my sins!) teach at a Grammar School, and out of curiosity asked the very kind and lovely Classics department if they could come up with a definitive Latin translation of "Stand up if you still believe", whilst not giving them the clue of what we had already.

The reply was;


"2 options (first is to one person, second to more than one);

Surge si (adhuc) credis

Surgite si (adhuc) creditis

....I would cut the 'adhuc'...."


So, give or take the occasional "adhuc", it looks as if we are pretty well there already !
