It is not ALL Jol's fault

Yes, he must take SOME of the blame, but not ALL of it. I made the same point to Chelsea fans last year who wanted Benitez out after they lost to Man City. It wasn't Benitez's fault that Lampard missed a penalty, nor was it Benitez's fault that Ivanovic ducked out of the way of Yaya Toure's shot.

It is NOT Jol's fault that Ruiz's corners can't get past the first man (twice in the matter of two kicks during the second half), it is NOT Jol's fault that nobody closed down Mutch for the winner, it is NOT Jol's fault that the ref was a lot more lenient with them (I mean the high foot calls, are you KIDDING ME?!?!?!).

Whilst (as I've said before), SOME of the blame lies with Jol, once the players cross the white line, most of it is UP TO THEM
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

Brown@FFC

It is all Jols fault. He made a team of pensioners, and he has no idea how to run them. Karagounis was on the wing in the second half. Awful tactician. Had enough.

Jol bought the majority of the team...Jol sent them out with instructions....Jol is the one who supposedly gets them fired up (or not).......basically, Jol has had 3 years....Benitez had 3 games

For once I have to agree with you.

Jol has to take responsibility for our lack of defensive leadership and inability to defend set pieces. Hangeland used to be a rock but he was awful today, constantly out of position and slow on the turn. Our defence would never be this bad under Roy or a coach who understands defence.

Who took Bent off? he would have scored that cross that went begging at the H end, he brings on Tarrabt who is a one trick pony You cannot defend his decisions any more, he picked the team, strangely I would have kept Senderos today, Jol does not reward hard work, as soon as his favourites are fit? he plays them, he has to go NOW!

Berbasilk_111

If Jol is still here next week I will be very surprised. I'm already thinking about life after Jol...

Hind sight is a wonderful thing but how do you know a new manager would not have also done the same. I wouldn't defend Martin Jol Mr Brown as I think he is a dead man walking but you haven't wanted him to succeed all season. In fact I have never heard of people calling for a manager to be sacked as early in the season. You should remember that whatever any manager says 40 points is our aim for the season

I hope your job is safe

Its Jol, and the coaching team. Karagounis on the left wing tops it all off.

It's not just 4 games this season, we have seen a steady decline for 2 years. Fortunately the fans seem to be able to see this where Jol and the club can't.

Without doubt it's jol's fault. If someone doesn't do as instructed you drop them, if Ruiz can't take a corner get someone else to. Managers are supposed to manage people & produce results, at work & in sport. If they don't do that they need to be replaced.
Cardiff came to our place today & outplayed us, creating almost 20 attempts in the process - more than twice what we did.
I've had enough of the excuses. Jol cant motivate the team, the tactics are awful, (embarrassing even away from home), his team selection is poor. The view that Ruiz must be in the team no matter what, (despite doing next to nothing for 2 years - agree it was a good goal today though), is ridiculous.

"It is NOT Jol's fault that Ruiz's corners can't get past the first man" you're right about that but he signed the player, he should do his research on him before making him our most expensive signing ever.

I've been saying that Ruiz isn't good enough since Day 1. Not physical enough for the Premier League and never will be

One thing I will say is at least the players seem to care....... As does Jol

The first half was dire.... Jol stayed rooted to his seat. Mackey was out cajoling his team contunually

As many 'It's not all Jol's fault' posts as 'Jol out' posts over the seasons. But really where do we start to correct things. Has to start with the manager.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

But if ruiz cant get a corner past the first man its his fault if he doesn't change it

It's not hindsight. We've been watching this negative football for a year and a half now. There is no strategy, no tactics, no adjustment at half time and we play sideways and backwards at home. We played possibly the worst team in the league at OUR patch and let them run the game for almost all of the 90 minutes. I can't think of a single manager in this league who is as incapable of preparing the team and as incapable of making halftime adjustments as Martin Jol.

If you really haven't heard of people calling for a manager's head this early in the season, then you weren't Fulham when Sanchez was in charge, and you obviously don't watch any other sides anywhere else. Sunderland, Newcastle, Palace, Blackburn Rovers, the list goes on and on.

My job? I'm retired.

How many times do we not clear the first man at corners?
Nearly every time , and its not just Ruiz that takes corners

We are always prone to quick counter attacks when we can't clear the first man

Why Jol can't see this and work on it in training is beyond me( ok I don't watch the training but IF they do work on it, its surely not working)

Berbatov was on a yellow and moaning at our players, he should if been subbed if anyone but , oh no , Jol would hardly ever take him off

I'm afraid the bucks stops with the manager
