I watched a few taped games after the Fulham loss yesterday and was shocked at the exchanges between other teams' players and their manager upon scoring.  Like the improbable Aston Villa game.  Every goal was followed with players running over to their manager and literally mobbing him with a genuine outpouring of affection.  Some things you can't fake.  And it got me to wondering how important are such intangibles as desire, appreciation, relationships in the outcome of games.  Is Jol too stand-offish?  Does he lack man management skills in such intangibles?
