The Swan

We are not in the bottom three but we must win our next two league games.
13, Stoke     22 points
14 Swansea  21 poimts
15 WBA        21 points
16 Palace     20 points
17 Fulham    19 points
18 W. Ham   18 points
19 Sunderland 18 points
20 Cardiff     18 points
Our next two games are so important to our season. Lose both and we are sure to be relegated. Draw both and we will struggle to avoid the drop. Win one and draw one we have a chance. Win both and we can feel a little secure with 25 points. Following these two the next four games are Man U away nil points, Liverpool home nil points, WBA away one point,Chelsea home nil points. By then we will have played 28 games and a total of 26 points by my calculations ( we may have more)
That will leave us ten games to gain 14 points.

Count Berbatov

Great title this thread. A bit disappointed once I "cracked" it open ;-)
Berbatov has Cantona's knack of being the man amid a stampede towards the door who stops to notice a side exit that nobody else has seen.

Jonathan Northcroft on Berbatov:  "...like a man in silk pyjamas shooting pigeons from a deckchair"

got to be 3 points minimum. I don't think we will stay up (with this squad) but lets have a go at trying to at least get 30 points then go from there
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

No one reads the parentheses these days.
"Everybody's assuming [Berbatov will go] but as far as I know he is a Man United player....my mistake. Oh my God. He's a Fulham player."

Denver Fulham

The schedule more or less mandates we'll be in the bottom three (and very possibly in 20th) with 10 matches left. Then we have winnable matches that we will need to win.

PokerMatt

Wouldn't say six points is a must, yet. I really think we can get something from Swansea - they're nowhere near as effective this season. Southampton will be much tougher - they're exactly the sort of team that we struggle against.

there's no reason why we can't win at the swans, but its as important we win at the cottage and cause chelsea problems and not fold to easy as has been the case for the last 12 months at home.

I love the title of this fred.

Count Berbatov

That's a cheeky title that indeed
Berbatov has Cantona's knack of being the man amid a stampede towards the door who stops to notice a side exit that nobody else has seen.

No doubt that one of the best things going for us is how terrible so many other teams are.  We are bad, but not vastly worse than a bunch of these other teams.  At least we've got a puncher's chance.

Wingnut

The bottom half of the table is incredibly tight. One or two wins would bring us up to mid-table. Swansea is a massive game.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Don't think so whose worse than us at the moment?
