Bryan Ruiz: 'Fulham will decide my future'

Bryan Ruiz has revealed that he would like to join PSV Eindhoven on a permanent transfer, but has admitted that Fulham will decide where his future lies.

The Costa Rican international joined the Dutch outfit in January, on a loan deal until the end of the season.

With Fulham's Premier League status for next year uncertain, it remains to be seen whether the Cottagers will ask Ruiz to see out his contract until 2015 or allow him to leave in the summer, and the 28-year-old appreciates that he will have to wait to discover what is in store for him.

"I am really happy here at PSV," Ruiz told Fox Sports Eredivisie. "They have a new project for next season to become champions with a strong squad. I would like to be part of that.

"But first we have to see what happens. There are still games left, possibly play-offs, and after that the World Cup. What will happen depends on several things. I still have one year on my contract at Fulham."

Ruiz has scored eight goals in 75 Fulham appearances since joining from FC Twente for £10m in 2011.

Rodallega backed to play big part in Fulham's great escape

Colombian netted first Premier League goal in over a year against Villa and skipper Hangeland reckons there's more to come

Dramatic winner: Hugo Rodallega celebrates after scoring the second goal for Fulham

Hugo Rodallega can play a major part in Fulham's great escape, according to captain Brede Hangeland.

The Colombian headed home his first Premier League goal in over a year on Saturday to secure three vital points at Aston Villa.

Rodallega came on as a half-time substitute, along with Ashkan Dejagah, at Villa Park and is pushing for a start in this weekend's basement battle with Norwich City.

Fulham need all the help they can get in their bid to beat the drop and skipper Hangeland insists former Wigan striker Rodallega is an integral part of the survival blueprint.

Heading home: Hugo Rodallega nods in the winner for Fulham

Hangeland said: "Hugo and Ashkan did very well, it was a whole squad effort, and I was delighted we were able to put in a performance like that. I thought everyone involved today, the whole team, got us that victory [at Villa].

"I'd like to think [Hugo can play a big part] based on what I saw today. Everyone is important now. It's all hands to the pump now and it's pleasing to see players come off the bench and make an impact."

Three points at Villa Park gave Felix Magath's Whites a lifeline as we enter the final five fixtures of the season.

Fulham are still five points from safety, however Hangeland is confident his team are heading in the right direction.

He added: "This is the start of where we want to go. I won't be pleased until the season's over and we're out of the bottom three.

"That's what we're planning to do and we'll do everything in our power to make sure that happens."

Loanee wants to leave Fulham

On-loan midfielder Bryan Ruiz has admitted that he would be willing to leave Fulham on a permanent basis to remain at PSV Eindhoven.

Ruiz joined PSV on loan until the end of the season in January and has gone on to score four goals in 11 Eredivise appearances for the club.

The Costa Rica international admitted that he would like to remain at PSV next season in a bid to help the club win a first league title since 2008.

PSV are currently fifth in the Eredivisie following back-to-back defeats to FC Groningen and Herenveen with a visit of second-placed Feyenoord to come on Sunday and Ruiz admits that he is focusing on what remains in store for the rest of the season before looking to complete a permanent move to Eindhoven.

"I am really happy here at PSV," Ruiz told Fox Sports Eredivisie.

"They have a new project for next season to become champions with a strong squad. I would like to be part of that.

"But first we have to see what happens. There are still games left, possibly play-offs, and after that the World Cup.

"What will happen depends on several things. I still have one year on my contract at Fulham."

Rodallega can fire in the run-in, says Hangeland
by DAN on APRIL 8, 2014

Brede Hangeland has backed super-sub Hugo Rodallega to play a crucial part in Fulham's run-in after scoring the winner at Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Colombian striker scored his first league goal in more than a year to earn three precious points at Villa Park and, although Rodallega has had to patient and wait for his chance under new manager Felix Magath, the Fulham captain believes the former Wigan forward can make a real impact in the weeks ahead.

Hugo and Ashkan did very well, it was a whole squad effort, and I was delighted we were able to put in a performance like that. I thought everyone involved today, the whole team, got us that victory. I'd like to think [Hugo can play a big part] based on what I saw today. Everyone is important now. It's all hands to the pump now and it's pleasing to see players come off the bench and make an impact.

Saturday's victory lifted Fulham off the bottom of the table but they are still five points from safety and face a make-or-break meeting with Norwich at Craven Cottage this weekend. Hangeland believes that the confidence derived from winning at Aston Villa can give the side a real boost going into a critical run of fixtures.

This is the start of where we want to go. I won't be pleased until the season's over and we're out of the bottom three. That's what we're planning to do and we'll do everything in our power to make sure that happens.
