even if motro is 100% fit (which I doubt) he cannot start, surely. Hugo has to start and then bring mitro on if needed later.  he cannot be match fit therefore not 90 minutes.

Have I missed something? - Felix's video says everyone is fit, so it's a question of who he decides to play, not that the new Gordon Davies / new Steve Marlet (delete according to level of optimism) will be available 'maybe next week.'

If he scores one goal and it keeps us up.....

Personally hope we never see his ugly face in a Fulham shirt ever again , hope he's sold to a Turkish club in the summer and I hope Greece get knocked out in the group stages !
The perfect summer for me.

If you don't want him to play in a Fulham shirt again surely you want us to go down and Greece to win the world cup with Mitroglou top scorer?

strange motives you have

He will be worth far more than the 11 million the club paid

Don't forget Steve Earle (alongside Gordon, clearly - not the French duffer).

If they had given a normal injury update for him (reinjured knee in practice, needs to see specialist, probably out several weeks but not determined yet), no one would be ripping Mitro.
Exactly so.  The reason they've been so quiet is they're embarrassed about the whole mismanaged saga and, as a result, they've added insult to injury by turning a footballing disaster into a PR one too.  But that's not the Greek dude's fault.

Before my time, so can only go on reputation (handy on the guitar though, Americana fans).

Y hate a champions league and national first pick until he has let us down. The amount of abuse players get on here when they haven't played or been given a fair chance is unreal. I doubted Rodgers but he has done well. I doubt bent but nobody can really say he has been given a real go considering his record and style of play. Mitro has done nothing wrong or right so save your breath till he comes on (if he does) and support the guy who left champions league to play for fulham and help us stay up. Just remember he can't pick himself. Bet he is itching to play

I admire your sentiment but he knew he was unfit and unlikely to be able to play OR he is faking it and hoping to stay fit for the world cup. My experience tells me, this is a mega stich up of our club. I absolutely doubt the player, nobody would have left a club in the champions league to join us if it was kosher, if he was that good he would have gone elsewhere.

I think he has been given a fair chance, we needed a fit and honest player.

I rather tend to agree with your version of events rather than the rather fanciful notions of a kindly genius putting himself out to help the justness of our cause !

You are absolutely wrong. He left CL and champion Olympiakos for a more competitive league. No doubt that if Mitro plays good, he will not stay in Fulham. Its just  a step to move forward. Any great player was first tested in a great league, in a  smaller team though, before moving to 1st class team like Arsenal etc... This guy will make you richer at least 40mil, if you support him and if he manages to overcome his injury.

I think the £40m figure needs to be scrutinised by an accountant to make sure that it's not a figure plucked from the air...
....and come to think of it, that there isn't a minus sign in front of it........

At this moment in time, he isn't worth 4 million, let alone 40 million. I've got nothing against the guy, it wasn't his fault he was bought injured, but he's hardly set the world alight and put himself in the shop window - yet. My hope is that Fulham stay up and he gets a good run next season, if we're relegated, it'll be a bit like the Remy situation where he'll go out on loan.

OK
OK everyone bring the temperature down a bit.
The new Greek fans are following their hero and they feel hurt and perplexed by the situation.
We're feeling worried and stressed as relegation looms and in January his signing looked like a moment of genius.
All of us are at sea at the moment and worried.
Tomorrow is a BIG day.
We need to win.
If we do and the Greek superstar scores a brace in subsequent games, and keeps us up, all of us will be over the moon.
More than that we will sing his praises from the Hammy end.
The Riverside fans will raise our prawn sandwiches in salute and celebrate in our own ( frustratingly demure) way.
The Johnny Hayes stand brigade will rejoice and faithfully chronicle the events for posterity.
Putney neutrals will hesitantly cheer in  a half crouch then run to the shop to buy scarfs and Mitro shirts after the game.
If we lose tomorrow.....
it doesn't matter what he does from Sunday on.
No doubt I will still cling to hope but it will be all but over......
EVERYONE is stressed.
But think about it for a moment.
If we were mid table with nothing to play for would tomorrow be the sort of edge of your seat affair it promises to be?
I think not whether you're sitting in London, the US or Athens.
This is what it means to be a supporter.
THIS IS LIVING.
I'm so glad I'm a supporter of this team.
I'm hating but loving these final few weeks.
Time to be together and cheer tomorrow whether its at Craven Cottage or in front of a TV screen or swearing at a crappy stream, in NYC, LA, Oz or Greece.
Isn't it something we all have this amazing common cause?
I think its incredibly fantastic.
All over the world tomorrow at 3 pm West London time we will be one.

Well if we examine the facts.... we needed a fit striker to help is stay up. mitro came injured pretending he was almost ready to play and what we saw at WBA was a disgraceful and pathetic attempt to show what he might be capable of.  his effort was almost zero and touch poor.
maybe he was a good player and maybe he will be again but we needed a player capab;e of joining the fight and he has been woefully lacking, what he and his ex team have done to us is quite simply outrageous, in any other walk of life we could have taken legal action for misrepresentation.
He didn't leave olympiakos for a more competitive league, he left so the team could cash in on a crock and he could rest up before the world cup, not having to put on a show.... I fully expect him to play fully fit for greece and then probably return too tired from his efforts. Sorry to say this whole affair is a nasty con trick.

sorry is it overheated. I don't mean to be but we paid good money for an injured polayer that we needed. how can you defend that? It is just wrong but I am finished now with this topic. No doubt if he managees to find his way to the ground tomorrow and scores a stunning winner, having put in a great shift i may start to review the situation, but i wouldn't hold your breath.

Done now.
