For us next season.
Felix really likes him I think he will play a massive role in our fight for promotion

Fairly sure you wait an hour between starting a post to single out an individual you believe will be vital. Whose next?

i am not convinced about Cauley, saw him at Southend a fair few times and wasn't overly impressed. Then in other games he was OK. For us, he has looked better than he did down here at Southend, but I just have something in the back of my ind saying he isn't as good as we all hope.

But we also have Roberts, Dembele and David, although in Holland they think he is off, I only say that as I generally live / work in Brussels Monday to Friday (not this week) and the reports in the press there indicate he will Leave.
Every day is a Fulham day

I know that he has always been the one player at FFC that everyone involved with the academy thought would make it 049:gif

Someone mentioned Phillips, can we bring him in? Even if its as a lucky charm!!!

I'm forecasting one of, maybe even both, Richards and Kavanagh will also breakthrough, can see Passeley getting a shot but still prefer him as mobile pacey central defender than as right back but plays either well as does Grimmer who is more aggressive in his tackling. I'm still hoping that Ronnie Minkiwitz will come through but his injury may have set him back just as he had found his feet in the U21's. Sorry to see tankovic go but his self worth would never have allowed him to play championship football but Freddy Plumain could make a stake now especially if Kaca has another indiffernt start to the season.. I would also put a fiver on Arthurworrey getting close to paying a couple of games next season especially if Burn or Hangeland gets injured.

Just mulling over the names again remonded me of one of the main complaints last season was we did not have anyone shouting out commands, being a captain on the fiedon the field, I'll tell you what if we get Burn & Grimmer in the same team their team mates will certainly be kept on their toes!

[/quote] Not sure he will make it next season but theres always hope. Hopefully he will grow stronger over the next 9 months and rediscover his best form and may be a longshot for a chance backend of the season after we have confirmed promotion with 4 games to go(cut me some slack here - Its friday , the suns shining and I'm sitting here with ice cold beer in hand),  hasn't really developed very much this season, picked up a number injuries one of which interrupted his loan spell (main reason Chelsea let him go)just as he seemed to be settling into the Crewe team. Hope I'm wrong but Plumain is fast strong and good attacking the line and defensively so I put him ahead of Mesca at the moment.

Very injury prone. Another season where he hasn't improved and at his age he needs consistent game time now. Long contract was a big risk and I don't think it'll pay off unfortunately.

Woodrow named in Gareth Southgate's Under-21 squad

Congratulations kiddo  :54:

Fulham star-in-the-making reckons Magath is right man for him

Striker Cauley Woodrow thinks he will get chance to shine next season under German

Felix's friend: Cauley Woodrow upbeat about his future
Cauley Woodrow believes he will get a fair crack of the whip next season – because Felix Magath has already shown he has faith in younger players.

The teenager bagged his first goal for Fulham with a supremely assured finish in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Cottage in the final game of the season.

It was a fitting reward for a player who has caught the imagination of home fans – and more importantly, the boss.

"The manager's been playing us young lads throughout. He's shown that he has faith in us," said a confident Woodrow, who has been called up to England U21s for next week's Euro qualifier against Wales.

"He's played me, Moussa Dembele and Chris David. With this manager, I think if you are doing well, he doesn't really care what age you are.

"Us young lads are hungry. We want to prove ourselves and we want to play games. I think the manager wants to get a mixture of youth and old, so there's a nice balance.

"To be honest I didn't think I'd be scoring in the Premier League this season.

"I thought I'd stay out on loan and play games there and then come back here eventually or go out on loan again at a higher level. But I've just tried to take it in my stride and it's been great.

"At Southend I played a different style of football and when I came back here, I was playing against world class defenders and with world class players, so for me it's been great. I just try to enjoy it and do as well as I can."

Woodrow knows that Fulham face a huge task bouncing back up to the top flight at the first time of asking next season, but he thinks that with Magath remaining at the helm, they have a chance.

"He's said to us he's going to be here and his main aim's to get us promoted next season, so that's what our focus will be as well," he said.

"It's not going to be easy, but it's the same for every team in the league, so there will be no excuses next season and we're just going to have to work as hard as we can and get the results to get promoted.

"It's obviously disappointing that we're not still in the Premier League but for me it was a nice moment to score my first goal, but we've got to focus on next season now and get promoted.

"For Chris as well, it was a great goal for him and us young lads have hopefully got a good future."

David, Roberts, Burn, Williams, Woodrow and Dembele are all on the brink of first team football and all have shown great promise , let's hope they stay with us and are given the opportunities they deserve, the future looks exciting.

These young players are the only good thing to have come out of a  terrible season,

the nutflush

I remember Ali Mac talking up Mesca massively before the start of last season.  Had all of 20 minutes v Chelsea where Martin Jol delivered the most thorough of instructions..."just go out there and run around".  fp.gif
