Senderos signs for us but who will now leave us and sign for Arsenal. The two players in the news are Schwarzer and Hangeland. They have both been linked to Arsenal.

I don't think we lose either player as long as Roy is here and he is not going anywhere.
Fulham for life!

This was my iniTial thought but he's hardly a make weight. More like one of Roys old favourites and I suspect out of contract at Arsenal.

No-ones going, he replaces Smalling as third choice centre half.
COYW!

As Rich at Craven Cottage Newsround mentions, it is a slightly strange move for Senderos when we have got the most settled CB pairing in The Prem.

Can Senderos play anywhere other than CB?

When you look at Hangeland's CV prior to joining Fulham he was not exactly setting Europe alight and, in that sense, Senderos has a much better pedigree. Of Hughes and Hangeland the latter is more likely to leave and Sendrros would seem a good replacement for him. If that were the case I would not be suprised to see Roy take Senderos to previously unheard of heights. I like the Swiss connection with Roy and the thought that Roy has finally got his man.

He is 6'3, 25 years of age, speaks six languages and has Captained his country at U-17 level - what's not too like. Hell he may even go on to manage Fulham?? If he were the finished article he would not be coming to us so there has to be an element of risk.

Another great Hodgson free signing it seems.

Interesting interviews with him from 5 years ago that shows how highly rated he was -

When I saw that Roy specifically mentioned he was good in the air the thought instantly came to mind that he might be a replacement for Brede. Both good in the air, and if were going to find someone new to play with Hughes then it would be good for that guy to be good in the air like Brede was.

I don't necessarily want to sell anyone from last year's team but lets not be naive, if Arsenal really want Brede then there's a fair chance that he'll be off. Partially because the club might think the offer made was good business, especially when they've been able to bring in a competent replacement on a free transfer. 10 million or so would be good business IMO.
