No, Gera is 35 now and is less than half the player he was for us. Got all the time in the world for the guy, but for this club to move on, our days of 30+ year players has to end.

I will always love Gera but that ship has sailed. If we cant find an alternative then I think we could do worse than ridgewell in the championship but he will be 30 when the season starts so he wouldnt be ideal.

It would be nice to have him back at the club in some capacity, just not as a player. We've spent too long to be trying to get rid of old players to be signing another. Youth is the way forward now

Ridgewell? I always thought he was a bit dirty against Fulham, especially one game v. Birmingham (or was it Villa)? some time back. He was brutal. This suggests he is often a day late and a dollar short. Not what the team needs imho.
