I don't know if these are encouraging or not but over the last five seasons, the average number of defeats for sides finishing in the top two places is eight.  Hull were promoted in 2012-13 after a whopping 15 defeats (six at home).  What I'm trying to say is the season isn't over yet - statistically speaking.
