Looks like the debate regarding Bettinelli and Joronen is over. Shame, as I had hoped we'd see more of Bettinelli - I hope he gets used for cup games and Joronen goes out on loan to help him develop..

It's just a squad number that was given up by Stekelenburg I believe, no relevance to him being no.1 what so ever.

Its a bit different with a goalie to the rest of the squad. Number 1 is almost always the number 1. I dont think ive ever seen a keeper with the squad number 1 start off as the number 2. Maybe half way through they are dropped like stek was but its very unlikely that the number 1 wont start off that way.

I just cannot believe this, how can we justify selling a promotion winning keeper in Stockdale (coming into his prime) for in modern footballing terms peanuts and replacing him with a 38 yr old keeper who was second choice in a german second division side. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!

Right, but then if Jorenen is number 22 say, and he is currently playing every game as our number 1 (in goal that is) they are not going to swap his squad number 22 to number 1, it doesn't work like that. Stekelenburg was registered as no.1, he left, leaving that number free for granddad to take. It still doesn't mean he will be our No.1 choice.

Well you've got a point there, I did say its very unusual for it to happen but this is fulham so I wont be surprised.

The writing was on the wall from the wba game when stek made that mistake, im surprised it.took this long but he was always gonna leave. I assumed they gave him the number 1 shirt (knowing he was leaving) to reserve it for a new keeper. I very much doubt magath ever intended jorenen to be the long term number 1 and I think hes proved he is no where near good enough. We will see saturday who is number 1 amd to be honest bettineli looked very accomplished at brentford. He looked very mature and confident, Id stick with him over kiraly.

Kiralys picture on the fulham website scares me. He looks about 55 and over weight. Hes also a clown, very sceptical about.magaths choices in this window excluding mcormack and bodurov

To me, it's the start of the season and he's still tinkering!!

Some people think thats to be expected after all the changes but for me.thats not good enough. We should of played friendlies against opposition similar to the top championship level rather than crawley town and motherwell. That way he could of decided what players were.mature enough or good enough to play at this level which would of helped him pick his best team. Tinkering 5 games into the season is very poor on magaths part regardless of all the changes.

He was the number two that wore 12 and a lot of people wanted to be number one. The keeper that wore 1 had some poor games so became number two although he wore 1

Both keepers let in 5 or 6 so that was not going to help their chances of being Number 1
