Instead of fighting against the FFP, they really need to fight to have a cap on player wages. If they capped it at £50,000 per week, regardless of club or league, the whole competition will suddenly become a lot more competative. Who, in any walk of life, is deserving of £300,000 a week, plus any sponsorship deals. They should bring it in, so if a player renews a contract, thats the upper limit. Clubs like Man City will lose a lot of their mercenary players and it'll level the playing fields (excuse the pun!)
This breaks all the crazy EU laws on freedom to earn what you can etc.

Not suprising that the majority of championship clubs voted to water down FFP a week or two ago really.

It was always going to create a scenario that protected the bigger clubs in the Prem in such a way that they were never feasibly going to be in danger of relegation and the smaller clubs would have to be incredibly lucky to force their way into the Champions League (and subsequently lose most of their best players to aforementioned clubs during the next transfer period - see Southampton, who have done incredibly well with their replacement transfers).

Mo voted against it when it came into force and for the right reasons as well, it stifles competition too much in its current format.
