Nobody has any real control of what will happen to them. One moment you are a fit sportsman on top of his game and then you are not. Really all the sympathy goes to his family and friends and fans.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Tragic accident.  So sad its quite hard to comprehend.  I've seen some comments on here about "the bouncer".  Its part of cricket, you don't bowl it to hurt the batsman maybe at worst the intention is to intimidate.  Its like ruling out punching to the head in boxing, cricket won't change and nor should it.  Its just a terrible accident.  Thoughts are with the Hughes family and a young 22 year old called Sean Abbott whose life will never be the same....... Sean was the bowler.
We all see the game differently, FoF has taught me that.

Absolutely awful...just listening to the tributes on Five live...difficult to remain dry eyed.

RIP Phil,

Very sad news. I hate cricket but I couldn't help but have a tear in my eye when I heard the tribute on talksport yesterday. He's the same age as me, that's no age at all to go.

And a mention for the bowler too, can't imagine how he must be feeling. All round a very sad day
