Don't blame Kit

I'm not going to blame Kit much for today's result, why?
1. Magath left him with a few useless players and not much back up. This means Kiraly specifically we was poor for me for all 4 goals. More later
2. The players didn't want it at all, they had lost the game before they got out on the pitch.
3. Kiraly is the worst keeper I have ever seen. Firstly when facing penalties why does he make himself look as small as possible. Then for the third goal why doesn't he go for the ball rather then jump in the air. Then he doesn't talk at all; how many times tonight did he have the ball taken off him by his own player. Then, he is far to slow to the ball. He got caught out loads again today. Then his kicking is horrific. Then for the fourth goal he doesn't even move or make an attempt to save the ball. And then the last goal he was out of position and basically have Deeney an open goal as he also didn't narrow the angle. And finally how can a professional keeper not kick a football in the air.
4. The defence had a shocker and didn't have any cohesion.
5. Bettinelli made the stupid mistake to get sent off.

Poor, poor, poor, that actually doesn't say enough.

Goalie's challenge was just brain-dead - shame because he has been good this year

MrProphet

I'd say 2 and 4 are exactly his fault. That's his job after all

I would not blame Kiraly, the defence in front of him was atrocious, from the very first whistle, as for the 3rd goal I was right behind that and it was hit and in so fast, not too many keepers would have got it. Also he does not select himself that is down to the manager. KS did not even bother to use all 3 subs.
I am afraid that if the fault before KS was the managers Jol, Magath then the fault now is the manager, the team out there tonight did not have a clue.
The only player on that pitch tonight that seemed to give a dam was Parker, but then he always does.

The buck as they say stops with the manager, as we know there does not appear to be a plan B, well tonight there was not a plan A.

My opinion not an argument.

Sadly she wasn't

TWS...Kiraly to blame for 4 goals...You werent watching the game then..Hillarious

RaySmith

Kiraly wasn't to blame for any of the goals -but our defending was.

F.luke

Nice bloke but no experience at this level, and we need someone who can give out the hair dryer all he does is a couple of claps every so often. If our play looked modern and stylish but not working I could except it more but it's just banging long balls and Smiths gone  the Brighton win was lucky we should have been 3 down at 1/2 time most of our wins have been a bit lucky imo Sorry we've made the wrong decision with Kit

GrahamG

Yes - blame Kit and all the numpties who wanted him to be appointed.

I didn't think Grimmer was very good against Brighton and wasn't ready to start tonight against a very quick team. Where is hoogland?

Fofana was another bad call, he's alright for an impact sub in games like Brighton but he isn't a great ball player.

And finally I would've taken off Fofana for Kiraly and kept ruiz on. We lost 5-0 so taking ruiz off didn't exactly sure up the team and make us hard to break down. All it did was prevent us having a link from the defence to Hugo.  Mcormack was coming too deep and leaving him isolated.  Didn't really see what good leaving Fofana on did, to be honest.

Watford were very good and we were very bad. Everyone's to blame, players and manager. Everyone's quick to praise kit when we beat Brighton or Norwich so he should also be held responsible for such a big defeat.  It wasn't just one mistake that cost us a tight game, we were outclassed in every sense just like we were against Brentford.  Thank god Brighton were so bad!

Let's move on and put this down as a bad day at the office. Providing kit learns from nights like this it will benefit us in the long run.

I don't think the penalty changed the game either, 10 or 11 men I think we still would've lost by 3 or 4 goals anyway.  We were never in the game. I left in the 75th minute,  i couldn't take any more torture.

Onwards and upwards! Which way is it to leeds?

Yes he was. His clearance (for the 3rd?) was terrible but Burns attempt at controlling, and then clearing it once he got the ball under control it didn't help the situation. The bottom line is though, it came from Kiraly.

BUT the defence was atrocious. Bettinelli was MOM for me. three or four fantastic saves before the defence let him down yet again for the Pen. And people saying the pen was stupid and braindead? Whats he supposed to do? If he had got a hand on the ball it would have been a marvellous save (again).

I think that Kit was poor last evening:
a) Substituting Bryan rather than Fofana - made no sense, the 'City lad looked lost the rest of the game, lost us the link to the front men
b) Bringing George on at exactly 60 minutes for Fofana was obviously Plan A (decided before the match)
c) No change of tactics when we were being over-run
d) No encouragement from the bench during the first half
e) Post match comments of "we showed character in the second half, to be fair" is simply delusional

Positives from last evening:
a) LVC is turning out to be the best of the young 'uns
b) George is running him close
c) Hugo worked hard and seems to be happy at The Cottage

Come on guys- it's one game only and in general terms we are on the up.

If Magath was in charge I would be depressed but now under Kit it is just Fulhamish.

We were all praising Kit last week and talking of promotion .

Keep the faith

We'll beat Leeds with a Kiraly hat-trick ( you know it could happen !! )

Did kit really say we showed character??? Only if that character is mickey bloody mouse!

I'm not going to sit here bashing kit for one game but that was the worst performance of the season.  Worse than Millwall wolves derby and reading. Had magath made excuses after the game that simply weren't true we'd all be slating him.

I'm happy to give kit time and patience but at least be honest when we get battered.  We showed no desire, the tactics were non existent and we had no leaders. Even an apology wouldn't hurt considering how bad we played, Watford just wanted to win more.

Lets move on but kit please don't excuse it in future, good managers are normally honest and sort out your substitutions please! It's one of your weakest points so far

Hoogland has a long term injury, has been sent overseas for specialist reviews. Has been reported in the Fulham web site and Kit's team updates. Rest of what you say...only too true.
But it's one game, I suspect we will roller coast this season, some good some bad, ultimately we'll get enough points to survive. For me the key issue (apart from surviving) is whether we collate a more effective squad for next season

Alan_C

Let's be fair if Hoogland is the answer then the question is wrong. We have a team devoid of a full back worthy of the title for a team that entertain thoughts of promotion to the premier league.

Grimmer a young land who will improve over the next couple of years. He wasn't idela at Brighton but I thought settled in. He was over run last night, but who wasn't. Clearly not our first choice but hard not to argue from what we have seen our best available.

Stafy, an energetic tryer who is too often the wrong side of his man and does the most ridicule things at completely the wrong time in the wrong positions. Again a young player who will improve, but not IMO a first choice full back.

Kit is the only person I know who can smile and talk in an interview at the same time. If someone's able to do that I'd question his capabilities to give the side a bollocking when they need one.

It's ironic, we went from a dictator to a saint and I'm not sure either is right as a manager. We need a saint who likes to dictate!  Hopefully kit finds his nasty side, I don't think you can survive in this job without one.Even Uncle 'arry Redknapp has a dark side and isn't just everyone's best mate
