Fact : Charlton Athletic are a similar sized club with a similar fanbase to us.. And Curbs kept them in the Prem and they only nosedived after he left..
Fact : Their limit of ambition was to remain a Prem side.. Lack of ambition leads to complacency..
Fact : We have 4 ex Charlton/West Ham players who have fallen out with Curbs
In other words, I like Curbs but he is the wrong fit for us at this time. I was a tad shocked when Hoddle came into the frame and my favourite was Hughes, but there is an argument for Hoddle. At least we'd still be playing 'football'..
