The new Villa manager has just been on Sky & looks like a condemned man.  After 27 games they've scored 13 goals & conceded 37 - ouch.

if villa go down it will only make the championship that much tougher next year.

yeh, best if they stay up, if Leicester, Burnley and QPR come down they will all struggle to compete.

Villa have been dying a slow death for years.

I don't see them being any more of a threat in the Championshiop. They clearly haven't invested and I can't see that changing with them coming down.

Villa's team/squad is awful nowadays.

Guzan, Vlaar, Delph, Benteke would all leave. The rest is champ standard. Be better for them to come down than someone like Leicester I think

+1

they are a mirror image of us in last two seasons in regards to high wages, poor players, no investment and lack of owner interest, policy of hoping for three worse teams

they'll drop this or next year 100%

QPR are pretty fortunate to have Burnley, Leicester and Villa primed for the chop

Similarities with Fulhams demise?
........and yes they have an American owner.

Just an observation!

hope av go down. I am a brummie myself, but have no time for av. their fans still think av is a big club who are entitled to be in the pl.

and by the way, god knows what possessed tim sherwood to take that job. he could be on the scrap heap when it all ends.

Think they have more quality than most in the relegation scrap and than those who probably offered him the job. With Benteke, Cleverley (On his day), Delph, Vlaar, Guzan, Agbonlahor, Richardson etc, they have a half decent squad.

We had a half decent squad last season and look what happened to us

Before a ball was kicked, Villa were one of my tips to go down.

The similarities with us are uncanny.  Good youth and reserve set up, lack of investment in 1st team players over a number of years and bringing in mostly free or loans last summer
