It seemed that our set piece defense began to rot when Roy left and then fail completely after Pembridge left.

I just don't believe they don't work on these things on the training ground -though they often give the impression they don't.

But Kit and his staff are very experienced football men, and our defensive faults are plain to see, and I'm sure they and the players try to rectify them in training.

But in games, a collective mental fog seems to descend upon the team, as if they just seem to seize up in fear.

However, having said that, I admire the way they have fought back when games seemed to be going beyond them - like yesterday - and it is that attitude that will keep us up -I believe.

So maybe Kit has been doing something right - last season we just seemed to fall apart when we went behind, and early in this season too.
