Player Of The Season

Fans can now cast their vote for Fulham's 2014/15 Player of the Season.

It may not have been as prosperous a campaign as we were all hoping for at Craven Cottage, but there have been numerous positives to take, from breakthroughs from the Academy to sensational goals, and some excellent individual performances along the way.

Supporters can vote for any member of the Whites squad who featured on at least 10 occasions in 2014/15. Voting closes at midday on Friday 15th May.

John Pantsil: Ex-Ghana defender returns to Fulham to play in Charity All-Star game on May 23

Ghana defender John Pantsil returns to Fulham to play in a Charity All Stars game on May 23, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 33-year-old is among high profile ex-stars who are expected to play in the charity match at Craven Cottage.

Pantsil, who currently plays for South African Maritzburg United, joined Fulham in 2008 from West Ham and made 90 appearances for the club

He helped the side to secure their highest finish of seventh in the Premier League in his debut season.

The Ghanaian international also featured 10 times for the Cottagers in the UEFA Europa League enroute to the final the following year.

It will be an emotional return for the man who thrilled the crowd during his spell at the club.

Adding steel to the Celebrity All Stars team will be two of Pantsil's international colleagues – midfielder Laryea Kingston and former Juventus star Stephen Appiah.

A buccaneering defender who could operate at left or right-back, Pantsil made 88 appearances for Ghana during his career, and won a place in the hearts of the Fulham faithful with his passion and exuberant laps of honour round the pitch following a successful result.

John will join a host of former Fulham stars on the day, including Maik Taylor, Rufus Brevett, Barry Hayles and captain Sean Davis. The Fulham All Stars team will be lining up against a Celebrity All Stars XI managed by Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean.

World Cup Whites

Emerson Hyndman has been named in the United States squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The States qualified through the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, and have been drawn in Group A alongside host nation New Zealand, Myanmar and Ukraine.

Their first match takes place on Saturday 30th May, and the tournament runs until Saturday 20th June.

Of his selection, Head Coach Tab Ramos said: "I'm very excited about this particular group. It was very difficult making the final decision because there were quite a few players who deserved to go to the World Cup.

"Unfortunately, in the end I can only select a certain number and I'm very happy with the selections that we made."

Hyndman will be joined at the World Cup by Fulham teammate Tiago Casasola, who has been named in Argentina's squad.

They reached the tournament after winning the South American Youth Football Championship in February, and are in Group B alongside Panama, Ghana and Austria.

There is opportunity for the squads to be amended, and the final lists need to be submitted before Friday 15th May.

Warburton Linked to Craven Cottage

It remains to be seen whether Kit Symons keep his job this summer after our poor season whereby relegation was the feared word for quite a while.

That decision will be taken by those who control such affairs.

However, this morning, several news sources are linking the current Brentford manager Mark Warburton with the job.

Despite being the orchestrator of a great season for our West London neighbours where there is a distinct possibility that Brentford could become a Premier League club, via the play-offs, it was decreed, back in January, that Warburton would be leaving Griffin Park.

The 52-year-old could be considered to be very harshly done by considering what he`s achieved since taking over from Uwe Rossler, but seems resigned to his fate.

Could Warburton be an option for Fulham?

Fulham are set to make a shock move for Fenerbache striker Emmanuel Emenike, according to the Nation.

The Nigerian forward wants out of the Turkish league after suffering various accounts of racist abuse.

The Whites are set to use Greek striker Kostas Mitroglou as part of the deal as he returns from his loan spell at Olympiacos, and they will look to get his Premier League wages off of their wage bill.

Olympiacos are interested in signing the striker but Fenerbache want to offer up the availability of Emenike as a replacement.

The 27-year-old striker recently bought a house in Essex, which has fuelled speculation of a move to England.

Fulham have had an appalling season and they're looking to offload the majority of their squad this year, with Fulham boss Kit Symons set to bring in plenty of new signings over the summer.

The west London outfit finished in 17th place and accumulated 52 Sky Bet Championship points during the season.

Report: Ross McCormack's move from Leeds to Fulham being investigated

The former Leeds striker's big-money move south is reportedly being looked at by the FA - although the Scot is said to have done nothing wrong.

Ross McCormack's move away from Leeds United is being investigated by the Football Association, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 28-year-old joined Fulham after leaving Leeds last summer and has since enjoyed a superb campaign for the Cottagers.

Fans have poked fun at the striker costing more than several big-name Premier League forwards but his goals have kept Fulham in the Championship - just like they did for Leeds the previous season - while his overall play has been phenomenal for the west London side.

McCormack's transfer away from Elland Road, however, is being investigated by the FA, say the Mirror, although the Scot himself is not said to have done anything wrong.

Indeed, claims have been made that Leeds owner Massimo Cellino 'sanctioned £185,000' in the way of a 'backhander' as part of the deal.

Cellino's response, as quoted by the Mirror, was: "Everything I done, for me, was clear. I had the club consultant and my accountants. I don't know many people in England, if I did something wrong I didn't do it on purpose."

The report comes a day after news broke from the Yorkshire Evening Post that the loan signing of Brazilian youngster Adryan is also being investigated by the FA. The Mirror have also offered the same line in their McCormack - Fulham story.

As promised, the Championship campaign has only been over for a few days and it's fireworks at Leeds...

Man City transfer mission for Ipswich, Blackburn, Charlton, Reading and Fulham

Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Reading and Fulham are all sending representatives to Manchester City this week on a transfer mission. The clubs want to check out young David Bruno, who sounds like an entirely made up footballer but who actually plays for Porto's B team.

Porto have sent youngsters over to Manchester City to play their development squad in the Premier League's International Cup. The two clubs face each other on Friday and according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo there's going to be quite a crowd of interested clubs present.

Some of the clubs mentioned also watched the youngster in action against Chelsea in the same competition and O Jogo say that contacts have been made to see if David Bruno would like to play in the Championship. Reading and Fulham have scouts present in Portuguese football, with Reading scouting Portuguese football almost more than any other club in England. Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town aren't clubs who send scouts to Portugal, at least not regularly, and so their interest will be specific in David Bruno.

From what we can find out, David Bruno is a 23 year old right back and he's not yet progressed from Porto's B team to the senior side, meaning he's still financially and sportingly in the reach of clubs such as Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Reading and Fulham. The match will take place on Friday night and if David Bruno impresses... let battle commence for his signature.
