Does it matter if he does or doesn't? I doubt he will due to the fact he wont be a regular starter for Palace and with a week before the start of the season I am sure Pardew will play pretty much his 1st eleven.

If he doesnt' play, he will watch hopefully as a fan:  I remember him sitting at the back of the Hammy End a year or so ago. We gave him a good reception, natch.
