31 in Stoke today. If ever there was a time for it to live up to it's stereotype, tomorrow would be an ideal time
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

It is meant to heavy rain (but still 22 degrees, which is the baffling part)

I've spent a fair bit of tonight Googling how to keep cool whilst trying to sleep. I'll try a few, but freezing my bed sheets is just a step too far right now.

It a very hot and humid day in Manchester yesterday, with many sunny moments. It was certainly around 29c, but I knew it wouldn't last.

Last night was the biggest lightning storm I've ever witnessed. It was stunning as I was standing on my roof terrace with the panoramic view of Manchester City Centre. Lightning strikes on tall buildings and construction cranes. And then immediately overhead as I was filming it! I should've been playing Jean Michel Jarre on full blast as I watched it!

My Gauge (lovely girl) hit 37.8 in direct sunlight here on the South Coast. Today heavy cloud and drizzle as we are mourning the unlucky world cup exit.

Currently in North Germany and it hit 36 yesterday so I'm experiencing similar pain

Where I live in Spain during June, July & August the temp is always between 35C & 42C. In early August it sometimes reaches 50C for a few days. You get used to it & do shopping or housework early or late. We keep all the shutters down & ensure we take in plenty of water. Alcohol only after the sun sets.
