Former Fulham star has 'unfinished business' with CheshamHayles wants to show what he can do after spurning cub three years ago

Barry Hayles insists he has unfinished business at Chesham United – having finally signed three years after rejecting their advances.
The former Fulham striker, who has more than 100 Premier League and Football League goals to his name, first pulled on a Chesham kit as a trialist in 2012, having drifted into non-league football with Truro City two years previously.
However, he instead signed for Chesham's Southern Premier rivals, St Albans, as his good friend David Howell, was manager at Clarence Park.
But last month, via two more spells at Truro, plus a brief stay at Arlesey Town, Hayles finally signed on the dotted line for Chesham as the club's new player-coach.
He said: “Me and the manager at St Albans went way back. He said I needed to come and play for him and that was it. Andy Leese (Chesham manager) understood, but I feel like I have unfinished business here, and I'm looking forward to it.
“I've played in the Southern League for the past four years, so definitely know what it's all about, and I feel I know what Chesham are all about from playing against them.
“They have always been a good passing side who create chances, and last season they did the double over us (Truro), which not many teams did.
“I know the squad had a big shake up, but I hope to bring a lot of experience to the side. Sometimes you need an older head to tell the younger players what to do and feed them the right ideas.
“I've enjoyed doing bits and pieces of coaching but I'm looking for permanent role where I can help develop players, and I've heard good things about what they do at Chesham.”
Another familiar face returning to The Meadow is midfielder Bruce Wilson, who this week re-signed for the club after spending last season with St Neots.
Boss Andy Leese has also moved to bring in much-travelled former Reading Maidenhead, Bishop's Stortford, St Albans, Boreham Wood, Tamworth, Yeovil, Crawley, Hayes & Yeading, Tonbridge, Slough Town, Weston-super-Mare, Halesowen and Hednesford defender Curtis Ujah.
Meanwhile, Chesham have been drawn away to Billericay Town in the FA Trophy preliminary round, to be played on October 31. Elsewhere, Holmer Green will play at Newport Pagnall Town in the FA Cup extra preliminary round on August 15, and host Wellingborough in the FA Vase first qualifying round on September 5.
