How do you know they haven't checked him out on Football Manager 15?

Well, that came right out of the blue, not a hint of it from any source.

I imagine he is behind Parker, O'hara and Tunni in the pecking order for the defensive midfielder spot and as he has no English football experience I imagine it will be a while before we see him in action.
I suppose some scout has seen something unusual in him and our management thought it was worth a try.

Let us hope he comes good and proves to be one of our better buys.

He's quite versatile. played many years as a CB back in Finnish league. Resent years been playing CM or CMD. Not a bad signing. And he has a great shot, specially in set pieces. Nice to see new Finnish player in Fulham! :)

Quite a few sources said this was happening. Let's hope for good things. I can see no reason for this signing due to his age other than we see something in him. McDonald can't be coming now surely? Parker, tunni, Ohara, hyndman and mantilla should be enough. Although this has been deemed our weak position we are not weak in numbers. Quality maybe. Sorry to ramble out loud but there is the chance we are losing one or two of them that may give McDonald a place on the bench. Good luck to the lad. With that competition for places he deserves to be respected by the fans until we see otherwise.

No we don't have many defensive central midfielders. We do have many central midfielders who can play wide and are more forward thinking. Means Mcdonald isn't on his way but the fee we saved may mean we have more money for a non Dunk defender.

I understand he and Taggart can both join in Waltz in Matilla.

Such a pointless signing. We now have 7 centre mids competing for 2 spaces.

Perhaps he is an out and out utility player who can play across the back four and in DCM? A Chris Baird type player?
Presumably he is cheap as chips so I doubt it is that much of a big deal.

I think the fact that he is as cheap as chips is the 'whole deal' as to why we signed him.

Don't shoot the messenger and I hope Sakari has a long and successful Fulham career, but I feel I should point out that a supporter of his current team on Twitter described the signing as bizarre and said 'well there's our best central midfielder gone.  the only trouble is that we all know we don't have any good central midfielders in the first place.  Let's hope he is proved wrong.
