for those who don't know he was the ref for the Wolves game.

An interesting follow on from the debate over the Cairney sending off was that a number of the people posting myself included commented on how poor the ref was.

Well in today's paper it says that Neil Lennon is in trouble with the FA for making the same comment as we did about Mr Drysdale, surely we can't all be wrong and I hope we never see him again.

It was still a shocking challenge from Cairney. You can't blame Drysdale for that.

Apparently the amount of refs training has dramatically reduced because people are put off by the abuse they suffer from fans and players. They're putting in refs who don't have experience in competitive games.

You could argue that Drysdale missed a Wolves handball (when they were attacking), let them off fairly persistent rough treatment of Dembele and let us off some blatant time wasting before we eventually conceded the first goal. Did he really get much else wrong. Nothing that affected the result certainly. We always seem to want to blame refs...
