Anyone get the cane?

Not sure when it was banned but I got it on the hand and the back side a few times for things like not doing my homework or letting stink bombs off in the corridors.

Oh yes more than once but I remember being sent up to the head from the dinner table because I had continued talking when the teacher had declared stop talking. Quick decision by the head, two of the best with the swish of cane, on the backside, carried out immediately and leaving no time for an extra bit of padding to be added. All over in a flash and I was back at the dinner table before the food had time to get cold.
