Can someone please tell me why Carrick plays for England? Now no doubt he will be oustanding second half...

I was there. England were crap. Proved once again we aren't at that level. Better second half but mistakes cost us.

Carrick is a decent player. He's similar to Parker in that he can just sit and ping the ball around. He's been immense for united for a good few years, an unsung hero of there's to be honest.
I don't get how Milner has so many caps myself. Just a pointless player in my eyes. Is he a winger? Is he a holding midfielder? Is he a forward? Jack of all trades, master of none.
