If it was gonna be Curbs, he would have the job by now. What possible reason could there be for waiting?
Therefore it will not be Curbs. If we waited so long to make the job his, then that certainly would be a very bad thing, not him per se, rather the unnecessary delay.

With what is being considered now, Curbs is probably the safest bet of all.  He has experience all be it a few years back.  Give it to Curbs until the end of the season.  This is a shambles.

whilst i agree curbs in charge may not be a bad idea, why not just give him the job and let him get on with it.

He was interviewed by phone from Motspur Park this morning on Talksport, and said that training was about to start.

Apart from that he didn't really say anything, and nothing about his own position, but said that a manager could be appointed before Saturday's game.

Maybe Curbs is being held back as the sacrificial lamb for the new manager. When the new man demands his choice of assistant we can say OK. no problem he can replace Curbs.
