If we can afford him and if he's fit enough to be a regular starter I can't understand why any supporter wouldn't want him. I agree with some that he might take a lot of convincing to come here and wages may be an insurmountable issue but worth a try.

Same age as McCormack. I don't see people saying he's old and ready for the scrap heap. We'd be very lucky to get him. Can see him going to a promoted/lower Prem team or at the minimum one chasing promotion.

Just to be clear.
I think he is better than what we have now but he will be 30 before the season finishes, not a big deal but he would only come IMO if offered a longish contract and a hefty salary.

And being a big lad I think his fitness would be an issue as he got older, I have seen enough older, wiser, experienced players coming to us over the years and playing to their agenda rather than for the teams.

Are you thinking of the right guy?! Huddlestone is one of the best passers in the English game. We have absolutely no one like him. He's great to watch
