FPT

I've had this list in my back pocket for a fair while; and whilst Slavisa Jokanovic is under pressure (by a big minority - stupidly in my opinion) here's a reminder of all of the managers to be promoted since the change from the "First Division" to the Championship.

Aidy Boothroyd - Watford - Play offs

Roy Keane - Sunderland - Champions
Steve Bruce - Birmingham - Runners up
Billy Davies - Derby County - Play offs

2007/08:

Tony Mowbray - West Bromwich Albion - Champions
Tony Pulis - Stoke City - Runners up
Phil Brown - Hull City - Play offs

2008/09:

Mick McCarthy - Wolves - Champions
Alex McLeish - Birmingham - Runners up
Owen Coyle - Burnley - Play offs

2009/10:

Chris Hughton - Newcastle - Champions
Roberto Di Matteo - West Bromwich Albion - Runners up
Ian Holloway - Blackpool - Play offs

2010/11:

Neil Warnock - QPR - Champions
Paul Lambert - Norwich - Runners up
Brendan Rodgers - Swansea - Play offs

2011/12:

Brian McDermott - Reading - Champions
Nigel Adkins - Southampton - Runners up
Sam Allardyce - West Ham - Play offs

2012/13:

Malky Mackay - Cardiff - Champions
Steve Bruce - Hull - Runners up
Ian Holloway - Crystal Palace - Play offs

2013/14:

Nigel Pearson - Leicester - Champions
Sean Dyche - Burnley - Runners up
Harry Redknapp - QPR - Play offs

2014/15:

Eddie Howe - Burnley - Champions
Slavisa Jokanovic - Watford - Runners up
Alex Neil - Norwich - Play offs

snarks

Sean dyche will be interested to see Eddie Howe got them promoted last season.

On a more serious point there are clearly people who can get clubs out of the division rather than one team

Looking at those who've actually done it recently (eg last 5 yrs) rule out those we couldn't realistically get (Rodgers, Howe at al.) and those we presumably wouldn't want (Holloway, Mackay et al.) and you've basically got

Pearson
Jokanovic
Lambert

Well Lambert is doing even worse than Jokanovic and Pearson we don't know what happened but he's still out of work and we can assume he made unreasonable demands. Plus he's a w*&5$r.

So it took 8 games, during which time we brought in Gray to hold the fort, then got Jokanovic from Israel and You can guarantee he didn't come cheap.

But with Fulham apparently that's enough for "Rigg out" chants  fp.gif

Great analysis.

Can't wait to see which players will Rigg bring in soon.... hope to hear more "Rigg Out" chant :D

Warnock....he'd do a good job for us

Hughton is the best of that bunch imo, followed by Pearson.  We should have got Hughton when Newcastle fired him, unfairly so.
