Just seen on twitter that we have beaten Galatasaray to Stefan Johansen from Celtic for £2m. How reliable this is on the other hand...

Johansen could definitely do a job for us
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

As a Scottish based Fulham fan, i can definitely see a talent. He suffered a bit last season due to playing in a poor Runny Delia side but was extremely highly rated before his move to Scotland.

Would be a great price should he be able to kick on.

Werder Bremen have agreed a deal to sign FC Copenhagen's midfielder and captain Thomas Delaney.

Coyle is quoted in their local paper saying Marshall and Duffy have turned down contract offers. Each have a year to go it seems. Either would be a good signing IMO, and probably available for good value.

Blackburn are a club in real trouble at the moment; I fancy them to go down.

Still not a striker though  :016:

2 of 3 problem areas though.

Fulham are ready to step up their interest in Ben Marshall, who has rejected a new contract with Blackburn Rovers.

JOKANOVIC WANTS REINFORCEMENTS

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic wants two new attacking options and Sky sources understand that one of his principle targets is Blackburn winger Ben Marshall.

He has insisted in recent weeks that the Whites still need to make new additions if they are to mount a sustainable promotion challenge, despite bringing in nine new faces this summer and is understood to have identfied a number of suggested targets

Sky sources also understand that Fulham's recruitment team are working hard to back Jokanovic in the transfer market and expect to sign three or four new players before the deadline.

The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

Suggests we might actually get that new striker we need...

Maybe this will calm the reports of dissent or Khan not wanting to stump up the cash?

Anyone who's watched the club for five minutes this season sees the promise and sees exactly what "3-4" positions still need improving/better depth. Of course, we have to make the signings, but I'm going to assume the people at the club see what everyone else sees.

If we are to mount a challenge its a top proven goalscorer
we need, and he will cost money.

Villa have just bid 14 million for somebody, so they are
showing their intent, and the money they spent already.

Why do I see so many loan options being mentioned? Surely with the number we have received for McCormack we can get at least 2 good players for us on a permanent basis.

aaronmcguigan

Because maybe some players are best suited to the championship and wouldn't survive in the prem, hence a temporary deal. Or alternatively we may want the player but the other club may dictate it's only temporary.

And also, Middlesbrough had 9 loans last season, hull had 3, loans can work for both sides

Let's see where hull and borro end up. The problem with loans is you have to replace them and who ever leaves as well in the summer. You end up rebuilding your squad every year. And sometimes that can end up disastrously.

not for me, I want us to do a wenger and only sign players under 30. I want them to either have a long future with us or have a decent sell on fee in a few years.
