My friend asked me today who was our highest player and it got me wondering what all the players are on- including the bench warmers.

Am I right in thinking we have a cap at 40,000 pw? Is Hangeland our top earner?
The past is told by those who win.

I always though AJ was our highest paid player on around  £50-55K but I could be wrong

Bullard, 30, has been looking for a move out of Fulham this month after they rejected his request for wage parity with the club's top earner Andy Johnson, on £45,000 a week. The midfielder, who has made two of Fabio Capello's England squads, has a higher regard for his own value than Fulham. The two sides are far apart in terms of what they believe Bullard's new contract should be and manager Roy Hodgson has expressed dismay at the player's unwillingness to sign.

I knew I read a higher number somewhere

AJ took a 10k pay cut just after his second breakdown. He was on £45k a week, Hangeland joined on £15k and is now on £40k and Shwarzer is also on £40k when he joined from middlesboro.

I think Bullard was on around £25K a week and demanded £50k before being sold to Hull.

Realistically if we are in the market for Bellamy it'll be a cut price deal, so what would you pay him? He was in my team of the season last year and quite a few  others too.

60K Max?

I saw this saying we'd only agreed to pay Lanky 45K last summer but it may be complete tripe

Talks will be held at Craven Cottage today and it is thought the former Tottenham trainee favours staying close to London. However, Fulham are only prepared to pay him £45,000 a-week, which equals top earner Andy Johnson's salary, while Sunderland will match the £70,000 a-week he currently earns.

I would think that 45k is the max. TBH paying any more than that for a club of our size is suicide. It is simply not worth it!
