I think he wanted to be first team starter but they couldn't give him that having been promoted and buying new players

But he's not in the striker role, and wont be benched, smith will. Aluko is a fixed starter, that's for sure.

I don't think anyone is a "fixed starter" and no one should be, however I agree he isn't a striker and also agree I reckon smith will make way for any striker signed
