Think about it,

Kalas can play right back anyway, we sign Bassong who I'm pretty sure plays on the left of a CB pairing.

Madl alongside him with Odoi to left back. Kalas is too good to leave out but Fred isn't and will be a useful sub when fit.

Makes sense in my head anyway...........
