I get the impression he is being so vocal in the media as to attract the highest bidder, and it's fairly obvious he has ways followed the money. I won't be disappointed when he signs elsewhere

Its probably not that we "cant afford" him. More like we wont be mugged off.

As much as we all like exciting signings the right player for the right price philosophy is sensible. Especially for a club like ours.

I was never a fan of the Berbatov, Ross signings & was pleased for what they did for us but equally pleased when they went. I put Gyan in that prima dona category

We have the beginnings of a team and I'd rather we went for a talented unknown wanting to prove themselves in the Saha mould. 

Given the quality of JS's signings to date I suspect there is an element of subterfuge going on here.
