Probable team against Birmingham

Great transfer window  :yay:

Left back, it is either Ryan or Malone... if there is not much threat there, then I choose Ryan.

I believe Ayite is still injured and Kebano did well in the Blackburn match.

Parker seems to defy logic and continues to work like a horse  :005:

Finally, the lone striker will be a debutant. Smith and Woodrow will have to work harder to challenge for that spot.

Having said all that, I think the biggest changes will be how our reserve will look like.

Very solid lineup going forward,

Anymore insight into the Ayite injury?

I'd like to see our new Viking in at CB

I think he'll be a definite starter, probably in place of the excellent Madl.

I'd like to see them consider:

Odoi   Madl   Siggurdson   Kalas

Ses can be brought on if we need to attack.

..FOF..

Yeah, I thought of changing the backline too but the last match was a clean sheet.

Don't want to ruffle too much feathers too early.

Joka seems to be very proactive in using the reserves. So that is a good thing in letting the new players gel in quickly.

I'd go for

                         Button

Kalas       Madl          Sig             Odoi

                 McD         Parker

Cairney          Aluko           Kebano

                       Martin

Subs
Betts
Sess/ Malone
Ream
Johansen
LVC
Jozabed
Smith

I'm assuming Ayite is injured but if fit he makes that bench.

Supporting Fulham isn't about winning, it's about belonging

Derby fans have been saying Martin was unfit and disinterested this season. If so, he may need a couple of weeks before he's ready to plough a lone furrow upfront. I expect Smith to start and Martin on the bench.

He's got 9 days until out next game
It could be better but it's real life and not a fantasy

True, but he's with Scotland. Let's see whether he gets minutes for them.

It's just like the glory days with Woy - we can now field one very good team for the League and a pretty competent but totally different one for the cups.

"In place of the excellent Madl"  ... why? Madl and Kalas have, as you say, been excellent. So why change?

We own sigurdsson and kalas is on loan, I'd much rather we play our own players.

Presumably, then, this means playing Smith or Woodrow ahead of the on-loan Martin.

Not the same thing, Martin is our best striker and we have an option to buy on him.

Kalas isn't better than sigurdsson and we have no option to buy.

Jokanovic has shown this season that he picks whom he considers to be the best starting XI - irrespective of the previous result.

On this basis, I'm not so sure that the newest players will be introduced gradually.

He may cut straight to this:

                    Button

Kalas, Sigurdsson, Madl, Sessegnon

          Johansen, McDonald

        Kebano, Cairney, Ayite

                     Martin

Subs: Betinelli, Odoi, Malone, Parker, Aluko, Jozabed, Piazon/Woodrow/Smith

..FOF..

That would be the best, Arthur :D

Myself, I am excited to see the new players perform.

If the next match is a cup match, I'm sure even Jozabed & Piazon will make into that squad.

Odoi for Ses
and Aluko for Ayite for me

Club just tweeted pictures of Piazon in training this morning, and interestingly Ayite was taking part, as well as Kmac who was replaced in the Scotland Squad for apparently being injured as well. Maybe Ayite will be fit (hopefully) for the Brum game as I think him Kebano and Aluko should be the forward 3 of the midfield because the pace there is bonkers, with Kmac and Cairney sitting deeper.
