Wasn't too bad but he did miss the Goalkeeper handling outside the box.

He also let some Huddersfield reckless challenges go without carding their players . However he did at least play the advantage several times & called back the foul when there was no advantage gained.

Most referee's seem to see some challenges that most fans would recognise as cynical or nasty as only worthy of a free kick at best while penalising 'technical' (not dangerous) offences with yellow cards.

IMO they perform in a way that ensures the assessor watching in the stand ticks the right boxes needed to progress them to the PL or at least get regular work in the Championship and this is often at the expense of the spirit of the game or commonsense.

Thought yesterday's Ref did well, not biased, obviously got some wrong. Let some meaty but fair tackles go with out stopping the game. He tried to play advantage, and for our first goal had played advantage but none was gained so brought it back and gave us a free kick from which we score the first goal.
The lines man was at fault with keeper handling. Thought the Ref got the booking of Fredricks wrong as it was a nasty challenge on his achilles heel to which he reacted with verbals only just having come back from a long injury. But was calmed down by McDonald.

fp.gif. He never gave the opposition a Penalty, so that was a good start!!

Fredericks raised his hands and pushed the guy in the chest. On another day the opposition player could have reacted to that &/or the referee may have shown Fred a straight red. No matter the provocation if you start raising your hands & confronting other playets you run the risk of a card. Thought the ref called it right with a yellow

It was a terrible tackle, any one on the end of it would of reacted the same way, ref should of realised that and used some common sense.

So their player nearly puts Fredricks out of the game and gets the same punishment as Fredrick squaring up to him, hoew are these 2 on the same level.

Prob another ref who hasnt even played the game so wouldnt uderstand
