Just read this in the online Evening Standard:

FA fine Leeds United and ban owner Massimo Cellino after breaching regulations over Ross McCormack's transfer to Fulham

Former Fulham captain McCormack arrived from Leeds in 2014
The Football Association has today handed a 18 month ban to Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino.

The ban, which will be effective from February 1 2017, relates to the breach of the FA's agent regulations.

The charges relate to the sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham back in July 2014.

Both Cellino and the club have been fined £250,000, while agent Derek Day has received a fine of £75,000 after admitted to a breach of regulations.

In a statement released by the FA, the governing body said: "Mr Cellino has been suspended for 18 months from being a director or shadow director of Leeds United or any other football club or company whose activities include ownership of a football club.

"By 30 April 2017, he is to attend and complete an FA education programme covering the duties and responsibilities of an owner and director of an English football club."

McCormack, who left Fulham for Aston Villa in an £11m deal last summer, scored 42 goals in 100 appearances for the Cottagers.

The west London club did not break any regulations during the transaction decided not to comment when contacted by the Standard.

Fortunately we have not been involved in this issue, which revolves around some £180,000 paid by Leeds to Barry Hughes who is not a licenced agent but a friend of McCormack and was a guest at his wedding in the summer.
Hughes has an 'interesting' cv well worth looking up in detail and is described as a bankrupt convicted fraudster and ex-boxing promoter. He has connections with Glasgow underworld figures.
His involvement is the reason why I'm not unhappy Ross doesn't play for us anymore, despite my respect for him as a player. It would be interesting to know exactly what Cellino meant by, "McCormack forced me to sell him to Fulham."
Leeds U. and Derek Day, McC's actual agent, have also been punished by the FA.
