Anybody else read this?

Dont get me wrong I think its great and I dont want to take anything away from the young lads that represented FFC but I just dont get it? How can a club like little old Fulham beat the likes of Barcelona etc 5-1 and end up easily winning something like that? Like I said I think its great but find it hard to believe that our youngsters would ever be that good compared to some of those other teams. If they are it certainly looks like we will have a heathy batch of talent coming through to the first team in the next few years which is great with regards to the new rule changes over home grown players.

I dont mean to be negative - like i said its great but think im just a bit shocked that all!

Well maybe the others do not take under 10 football as seriously as we do. That is their first mistake.  :037:
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

...very good to see this. The appointment of Huw Jennings as the Academy Director, along with Malcolm Elias and Gary Brazil seems to be paying dividends.

Once again we have a reason to be grateful to Mr Fayed for funding such a professional organisation, which in itself is a costly exercise.

I hope we will one day actually see some lad from the academy in OUR first team, was our last one Sean Davies..?

I think it must be Davis - certainly the only one to have claimed a regular starting place and still the only player to play for the same team in all 4 professional divisions in England.  :045:

Not sure that's correct, hasn't a wimbledon player done that (ohhh maybe even Sanchez?),

I saw this as well and it is fantastic.

The problem is that how many of the kids will continue to impress to the point of making it all the way to the first team.

What's more likely is that the Arsenals/Chelski's and United's of the game will be luring these away up until they are old enough to sign a contract. Much in the same way as Arsenal did to Fabregas at Barcelona.
