Most will now him as the author of Watership Down, however for me The Plague Dogs was a far better read.

I seem to remember he stood for Parliament in Spelthorne, but could be mistaken.

"Bright Eyes" the theme song for Watership Down was sung by Art Garfunkel
VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

The bunny fest apparently developed from making up stories for his kids to keep them amused. I suspect Plague Dogs did not follow a similar route unless his kids did become complete wrecks!

"Watership Down" was my favourite book as a child and I read it many times.  I wish they would re-make the movie, the theme song aside, I think it could be made a lot better!
