I'm sorry but cannot agree.
If he gave you inside info then he deserved the sack as it's possible he also gave that info elsewhere

it's derby's inside info not ours. And should slavisa be sacked for announcing to the world that he wants to sign Martin on a perm. I mean that's even more sensitive than Derby wanting their player back is it not? Also said he wants four players, so now everyone knows we have money to spend. And he nearly made it a year and one day as a manager.
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

If he has mentioned anything relating to company business to anyone not working for the club then for me he would be breaching company practice, something I am sure he would have been restricted from doing. If that were the case no that was the reason he was let go then it would be deserved, you yourself Ben have said several times on this board he has given you info, so would be fully understandable. However, apparently it is a mutually happy split so all is good.

As for Slav there are no direct comments in the article mentioned on this board (in another post) saying Slav wants four players, it is actually a cobbled together thing from several unsubstantiated reports. However 4 is what I would like us to,sign.

Sorry Fulhamben but it was you that said:
"Of course my news is a few weeks old and I'll get no more updates now that Rigg has left"

Therefore that suggests that he was giving away club info outside?
it's not sensitive info though. Everyman and his dog connected to football would probably be aware.

How many dogs do you know, is connected to football ?

That's understandable, as currently it's a Circus down there.

Is Mr Martin worth £9m?
Apparently in the previous 2 seasons only Ross has scored more goals so getting him for 9 and selling Ross for close on 15 would seem decent business

Where has this £9 mil price tag come from?

Doubt we will pay anything near that, if at all he actually signs permantley ?

Funny how we paid "11 million" - according to the press - for Ross and are somehow overpaying suckers. But, when we sell him on aged 2 seasons later - and older - for a profit absolutely nobody got on to Villa about their spending or gave us credit for the good business.

was widely reported that we paid a £2-3m loan fee and agreed an option to buy him if we paid another £6m

Well, one good thing in this Martin "saga" is that we hold more cards in the game than either Derby or Martin. He can't go back unless we agree. Hopefully, we can use that bit of leverage to get some concession - like some of that supposed 2.5 million back. As well, we shouldn't allow him back until we've got our replacement.

Hopefully, he'll prefer London and Fulham to the bright lights of Derby and this will all be mooted. And, in keeping with the subject of the OP, Humphrys will continue developing at his current rapid pace.
