It is too early to say about Cyriac but he looked decent. The main issue is that he looks in style, being small and fast, rather like Ayite, Aluko, Kebano and PIazon.

Bogle would have offered something different. He out-muscled our defenders on occasions, was neat in his play and made good choices.

Compare Bogle on a permanent contract for £1m (or even £3m) with Martin on loan for £2+m, let alone Martin on a permanent contract at £13m. Forget Martin throwing a wobbly, in what we have seen on the pitch what purchase seems like good value for money?

Martin on a perm is more like £9m. For that money, if he was putting the effort in I'd still have him over Bogle all day long. Just looking at the chances Bogle had yesterday, Martin would have had a brace.

I do not understand why you are not taking the open goal chance to knock the club and its transfer policy.

Forgetting Martin's refusal to play he looks unfit, slow, cannot win headers, cannot hold up the ball, does not really link with other players and does not make chances for himself. And he was substitututed yesterday to the general agreement of the crowd, not before time because he was making no impact. I do not see any potential for Martin to make an impact in the PL or to get anywhere near our money back if we took up the option.

Bogle made more of a nuisance of himself for a new club in an new division and was more of a threat in a side that had a lot less possession and fewer attacking opportunities. He is a rough diamond with potential. We would have got our money back and more if we had bought him even if selling him to another Championship club.
