I chuckled all the way through this "Who's the scapegoat -- Ream or Malone" thread. Everyone seems to miss the most obvious defensive problem we had against Spurs: nobody was able to contain Erickson. Yes, Kane was a clinical finisher, but it was Erickson who bossed the entire game. We had no answer for him. The thing is, of course, that in the Premier League, there's very little answer for him either.

There's a reason Spurs are looking good to beat Liverpool or ManU to the top four. They are quick, strong, well coached, well disciplined, and have in Erickson one of the top half dozen players in the world at his position. I think they could have beaten any team in England on Sunday.
