FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS: FULHAM

Connections between City and their Good Friday opponents
ONE of the surprise moves of the previous summer transfer window was Fulham's acquisition of Derby County striker Chris Martin on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old old hit 15 Sky bet Championship goals during the 2015-16 season to help take the Rams to the play-off semi-finals, and began the current campaign as first-choice with The Rams.

A graduate of Norwich's Academy, Martin played an important role in back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League between 2009 and 2011.

Scoring a total of 34 goals for the Canaries, the Suffolk-born forward joined Derby permanently in the summer of 2013 after impressing during a loan spell.

Hitting the target in excess of 50 times for County, the 27-year-old is expected to returning to Pride Park upon completion of his agreed stint with The Cottagers having recently signing a new deal.

Also forming part of Slavisa Jokanovic's current side is midfielder Scott Parker, who spent time on loan at Carrow Road from Charlton Athletic in 2000.

Subsequently representing Chelsea, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, the England international linked up with Fulham in 2013 and has since made over 100 appearances in all competitions.

Parker's time with Norwich came just after that of Peter Grant, who played for City between 1997 and 1999 before briefly serving as manager during the 2006-07 season.

Joining Fulham as a coach in June 2014, Grant took over as Under-21s manager later that year and served as caretaker boss following the departure of Kit Symons last November.

This century a string of players have moved directly from the London outfit to the Canaries on temporary deals, including Paul Peschisolido, Zesh Rehman, Tony Warner, Elliott Omosuzi and Adrian Leijer.

Conversely, Michael Turner spent part of the 2014-15 season on loan with Fulham, while Dickson Etuhu joined the Cottagers in 2008 following a year-long spell with Sunderland having previously been with City.
