Current PPG of future opponents

There is an interesting link on soccerstats.com (http://www.soccerstats.com/table.asp?league=england2&tid=10) which:
1. looks at the whole season's points per game per team
2. looks at the points per game of the future opponents of that team - and uses home form vs away form of the opponent depending on the venue of the upcoming fixture. 

For example, Fulham's future opponents' points per game are calculated like this:
Villa (ppg away = 0.86)
Huddersfield (ppg home = 2.24)
Brentford (ppg away = 1.14)
Weds (ppg home 2.10)
total = 6.34
avg = 1.59

There are a couple caveats (listed below), but looking at the table below, it certainly does look like Leeds and Reading have it easiest of all those fighting for playoff spots.

caveats:
1. the PPG column (unlike that of the future competitors) does not take into consideration the team's ppg home vs away based on the venue in the future matches
2. there is no consideration for form in these calcs.

Agree, strictly for the statisticians amongst us. They´ll be applying the Duckworth/Lewis method next!

I still feel there could be some twists and turns on the way, but as long as Fulham win their games that's all I am concerned with. The encouraging aspect is that it is still in our hands.
