i think another forward and a new GK and we are set for the season and i for one would be happy. anything else on top of a GK and CF is a bonus to me

so does that mean that Any player not starting doesnt count? He is a member of the squad so does count we have 2 back ups and the argument is that 2 for every position is enough, i generally agree. However going on SJ's comments he wants another CB, although that may not count for much

its not taping up at all. while i dont agree with it and you shouldnt speak about other teams players, there isnt much wrong with it from a rule breaking part

taping up would be Stam speaking to the agent or the player behind the clubs back and making offers

its against etiquite but not rule breaking i would think

Jaap Stam has spoken about Sone Aluko on BBC Berkshire and said "If he was here, he would fit in. He would be interesting for us." Don't you love it when opposing managers show respect and don't talk about other teams players...?

Stam's remarks are very enjoyable.  Because amongst the self-inflicted problems that emerge when someone covets what their neighbour has, is looking a complete berk when it doesn't come to fruition.  It's such a basic error of judgement that you'd think someone would jot down a list of do's and don't and tack it on at the end.  Wouldn't need to be a long list, ten points should cover it.

Because i believe they will play him at Left Back, we also have Odoi, some people may say he is average, but when we signed hium he was a left back. Be that a right footed left back, but thats where he played in Belgium, also stating he was a left back, that can play right side, in his first interview with the clubs in house interviewer. The we have Ream who can play there if required (not my choice but he can). We also have Opuko too. So think overall we have enough cover, just my view.

I also said this on the FoFcast, so not chaning any view that I have held for a while since we sold Malone.

You know that's not what I was getting at. Djalo will not be a starter - it was said he was signed to replace Burgess. If that's true (and I don't know whether it is) then when you list our centre backs there is no more need to include Djalo then there is to include Marlon Fossey. We need another who will challenge Kalas and Ream. Not somebody who is effectively little more than potential.

You know that's not what I was getting at. Djalo will not be a starter - it was said he was signed to replace Burgess. My argument is that anyone shown on the first team profiles should be considered, Djalo is shown there, that to me shows he wasnt bought to replace Burgess. I think that was just media speculation that some people bought into. He has been shown on the first team profiles since he was added to the site

I sit in the camp that neither are good enough to take us that step forward, solid champinship keepers but not spectacular. For me they are very evenly matched. Overall we need an upgrade.

Agree they are very even in ability, however judging from his performance against Wolfsburg Button's confidence is rock bottom at the mo. I might be wrong but from where I was sitting (gave the Riverside a test drive as a pre season treat) I'm sure I heard a few of our own fans booing when he came on. Regardless of your thoughts of him, if I heard correctly the. Those people should be utterly ashamed of themselves. So pointless and if anything is only going to affect him more if he's low on confidence which in turn harms the team.

Defo think we should look for a better no.1 - although think the Ospina rumours may be a stretch!

I too tried the Riverside stand on Saturday for a change (normally a ST in the JH stand). You definitely heard booing and people shouting derogatory remarks against Button. He was not at his best but that does not give them the right to say and do what they did, they should be ashamed but probably aren't.

Not sure if Relevant but I actually thought Tiago Casasola was a good player, Remember watching our u21s and he scored some brilliant solo goal where he picked the ball up in our half beat 2 men then played a 1 2 and slotted it in. I remember Chris David also saying to me that he was surprised Casasola never got a chance as he rated him.

POrtugal is not really my market area, I have heard the same as you guys that we have gone in with a higher bid which is 50% or so higher than before so 8 million sounds right. My contcat in Belgium said that we had a bid rejected earlier in the summer but only hear say that we have made a second bid

Based on my contacts information I have my doubts we have bid for him but hope to be proved wrong. But as I say not really his or my market area.
