We have enough strikers now, don't need Rolán. Rafa Soares looks to be quite a player according to Porto fans, apparently one of the most promising young LBs in europe, and has been subject to interest from Liverpool. In good company, then.
we only have 2 strikers, the rest are polkayers who can play there but not their prime position and their finishing is weaker. 3 is a good number of pure forwards (as in their prime position) to have in our squad
Yes but do we think Rolán or many strikers for that matter would come to be 3rd choice? Also I think that the defense is now a much much bigger priority.
I am not syaing we hsould sign a strikerm do think 3 is ideal. I think we need a LB and CB as priotity.

PLayers come for all reasons, Did kamara come to be second choice? surely he is after singing Fonte? It is a squad game and we need to use that ove the 46 league games and however many cup games they will all have a part to play.
Every day is a Fulham day

There's always recalling Cauley as a worst case scenario option

don't think you can when loans are in the same league. Unless we put a Martin type clause in it. But after last year, that would be very hypocritical of us to do so
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

I heard we have clauses in to make them pay more if he doesn't play enough. Doubt they would have accepted those terms with a recall option in there too.

Maybe the rolan deal was done weeks ago and they are saving the announcement for the deadline day, getting a signing on deadline day is always good marketing.

Sounds like we might have all our business done before deadline day... could be a quiet day.

The defence needs bulking up, Centre back is priority, and maybe a left back, apart from that, the jigsaw is almost complete.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Agreed. Sounds like the LB is sorted. As for CB, only if Madl goes do we need cover.

rusty shackleford

Id like a starting CB as we dont know how long Odoi will stay good. He started last season off well and faded to the bench so it would be nice to have an option should that happen again

Yeah I agree, I'd like a new CB but not Aden Flint as everyone on here is obsessed with.

Bassey the warrior

Aluko is good at creating chances, so if he were to leave we'd need a creative winger to replace him. We can't just rely on Cairney and Johansen. Rolan wouldn't be the right option.  I feel Aluko is the most creative winger we have.

hovewhite

Really hope we keep aluko and SJ is making sure by pressing the shad as he creates and causes havoc among defences.
Plus love watching him .

:plus one:

And he's good at tracking back and winning the ball back.  He deserves his place in the starting eleven.

Why do people keep calling Aluko a winger? He is an attacking midfielder /striker who interchanges positions well. Definitely not a winger.

Because he plays on the right wing?

All gone very quiet on fonte today, would have liked to signed asap to see if he can get a run out next game as boy do we need someone who play and stay as a striker and not a wide, floating man
Well, we cant expect there to be a day-to-day update on signings, i reckon its quiet because its no longer a story for the media since its all pretty much a done deal. Bragas president has confirmed the transfer so all we supporters have to do is just connect the dots really. Its very likely that the next step is contract discussions and medical and the club will be as eager as you and me to get this done as quickly as possible ahead of saturday. We dont really need any more info on this besides the official announcement from the club.

Same thing with Bennett I assume. We've triggered the buy-out fee so that will also just be considered a done deal in my book. No need for info on that one either.

All but done hey, pretty sure Bennett isn't done.
