Newcastle & Fulham Among Clubs Battling For Signature Of Man City's Adarabioyo

Newly-promoted Premier League side Newcastle United and three EFL Championship clubs are battling for the signature of Manchester-born Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Manchester Evening News says Pep Guardiola is set to make a decision on the immediate future of Adarabioyo, and it is unclear if the central defender is in the plans of the Spanish manager in the new season.

The Magpies, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston are interested in signing Tosin Adarabioyo on a season-long loan.

For the second consecutive season, the Manchester City Academy poster boy is training with the first team during the pre-season.

Adarabioyo, 19, has been on the books of the Etihad outfit for the past fourteen years.

Fulham set to win the race with Newcastle for talented striker

Rolan met with the French club's hierarchy earlier this week and has reportedly expressed his desire to speak to the Whites ahead of a move to England

Fulham have been given permission to speak to number one striker target Diego Rolan by Bordeaux.

Rolan met with the French club's hierarchy earlier this week and has reportedly expressed his desire to speak to the Whites ahead of a move to England.

The striker, who scored nine goals last season, only has one more year on his current deal at Bordeaux, so a fee will be involved and Fulham have money to spend as they bid to return to the Premier League after missing out on promotion in the play-offs last term.

The player was previously valued at around £12m but the Whites will be confident of landing him for much less.

Fulham have been in the market for a striker after seeing Chris Martin return to Derby when his loan spell came to an end.

The Whites made their first summer signing last week when they captured Marcelo Djalo for an undisclosed fee.

Fulham set to miss out in race to sign highly rated Arsenal man

The Eredivisie club have reportedly beaten off the competition to the highly rated 19-year-old's signature

Fulham have missed out on signing Arsenal midfielder Daniel Crowley to Willem II, according to reports in Holland.

The Eredivisie club have reportedly beaten off the competition, which included Slavisa Jokanovic's side, to the highly rated 19-year-old's signature.

The midfielder has one year left on his deal at the Emirates but has decided that he is best served leaving the north London side in order to gain regular football and build his career away from the glare at the Emirates Stadium.

Crowley spent time in Holland last season on loan, scoring twice in 16 games for the Go Ahead Eagles but it was in vain as the Dutch side were relegated at the end of the last campaign.

The England U19 international has had loan spells at Barnsley and Oxford in the past, scoring twice in six appearances for the latter in League One in the first half of last season.

Local press reveal NUFC could look to hijack £8.8m deal for Ligue 1 striker

The Northern Echo have revealed today that Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan is the latest player to have come onto Benitez's radar, claiming we could be ready for hijack his potential £8.8m move to Fulham.

Fulham had an £8.8m bid accepted for the Uruguay International, who had arrived in London for talks at Craven Cottage this week, however the latest claims from The Northern Echo suggests we could be ready to steal in an hijack the deal.

Rolan is 24-years-old and scored 10 goals for Bordeaux in 19 starts last season, being a diminutive forward at just 5ft 9′ who's also being able to operate out wide.

The Echo claim that the Uruguayan returned to France without a deal being agreed with Fulham, suggesting that Newcastle's late interest may have forced him into a rethink.

This could be one to watch with Newcastle believed to be in the market for TWO strikers, as Daryl Murphy, Emmanuel Riviere and Aleksandar Mitrovic look likely to depart this summer.

Fulham set to stave off PL interest in pursuit of Ligue 1 forward

Championship side Fulham are set to stave interest from Premier League outfit Newcastle United in pursuit of Bordeaux forward Diego Rolan, according to Get West London.

The 24-year-old Uruguay international moved to the French club back in 2013 after a spell in his homeland with Defensor Sporting, in which time he scored 11 goals in just 41 games to earn himself a move to Europe.

And he has built on that fine goal-scoring form for Bordeaux by netting 38 goals and laying on 13 assists in 149 games for the club, nine goals of which came last term in inspiring the side to a sixth place finish in Ligue 1, and thus a spot in next season's Europa League.

And, unsurprisingly, Rolan's excellent form has attracted interest from England, with Slavisa Jokanovic's Fulham and Rafe Benitez's Newcastle reportedly eyeing up a move this summer.

Reports earlier in the week suggested that the Cottagers may struggle to convince the 24-year-old to move to the Championship ahead of the Premier League, yet recent reports suggest that the club have been granted permission to speak to Rolan about a potential move.

And this news is sure to thrill Jokanovic and the Fulham hierarchy, who will be hoping to go one better in the Championship next season after falling to Reading in the semi-finals of the play-offs last time out.

And bringing in a player of the calibre of Rolan could be exactly what they need in their quest to return to the top-flight.

It's widely expected that the 19-year-old, who is highly thought of in the City set-up, will be allowed to leave to club on loan due to first team opportunities within Pep Guardiola's side expected to be difficult to come by

We reported yesterday that Fulham are set to do battle with Newcastle United, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End for Manchester City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo, according to The Manchester Evening News.

Reading bid for Fulham's David Button

HITC Sport understands Reading have bid for the Fulham keeper.

David Button: A target for Reading

Reading have targeted a move for goalkeeper David Button from Championship rivals Fulham, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Reading are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper with Ali Al-Habsi in talks over a move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal.

Former Tottenham trainee Button joined Fulham from Brentford last summer after a successful three-year spell at Griffin Park.

Button started last season as No.1 goalkeeper for Slavisa Jokanovic's side, but lost his place to Marcus Bettinelli for the final eight games of the campaign, including the Championship play-off semi-final ties against Reading.

Fulham's David Button saves from Brentford's Scott Hogan

Reading boss Jaap Stam is thought to be an admirer of Button as he looks to bring in an experienced keeper to replace Al Habsi at the Madejski Stadium.

A number of keepers have been linked with a move to Reading and now the Royals have firmed up their interest in Button with a bid for the former England Under-20 international.

It remains to be seen if Fulham would consider selling Button to a direct Championship rival as both clubs have ambitions of challenging for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Fulham considering move for Ghanaian striker Godsway Donyoh

English side Fulham are interested in signing Ghanaian striker Godsway Donyoh, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The 22-year-old has emerged on the radar of the English Championship side after a fabolous campaign at Nordsjaelland.

The hugely talented African scored nine goals and provided several assists in 26 appearances for the Danish outfit to put the spotlight on his immense quality.

Fulham manager Slaviša Jokanović is believed to be tossing with the idea of bringing the Ghanaian to Craven Cottage.

Donyoh, who is valued at £510k on Transfermarkt,  is one of Ghana's most promising young talents with the capability of developing into a star for their national team.

He was scouted by Manchester City four years ago being farmed on loans to Danish sides  Djurgardens IF and Falkenburg.

The prospect of playing for an English Championship side will be too hard to resist for an African,  as well as a possible pay-rise also likely to be on the cards.

Getting a deal done for this striking hotshot is imperative for Fulham this summer

Slavisa Jokanovic will be hoping that his Fulham side can build upon their sixth place finish in the Championship last term with another shot at promotion next season.

The Cottagers proved their credentials with some stunning victories during the run in over Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday to pip Leeds United to a play-off place, although they were unable to get past Jaap Stam's Reading in the semi-finals, losing 2-1 on aggregate.

Clearly, the West London outfit will be looking for greater consistency over the course of the season to really push for promotion next term, so Jokanovic and the Fulham hierarchy will surely be looking at reinforcements this summer in a bid to aid in that quest.

And one man they've been linked with in recent times is Bordeaux and Uruguay striker Diego Rolan.

The 24-year-old has been at the Ligue 1 outfit since 2013 having started his professional career in his homeland, and has in his time in France bagged 38 goals and laid on 13 assists in just 149 games for the club.

And although the Cottagers didn't struggle for goals last season, top-scoring forward Chris Martin has returned to Derby County after his loan spell came to a conclusion, and reports suggest that Rolan is their number one target this summer in a bid to replace the Scotsman's goals.

Thus, getting a deal done for the 24-year-old is absolutely imperative in their quest to push for promotion again next term, with Rolan proving last season how good and efficient he is in front of goal.

The Uruguay international bagged nine goals in just 29 games for Bordeaux in their ascent to sixth place in Ligue 1, and given he averaged just 1.7 shots per game over the course of the season, he shows a predatory instinct when he gets into position to score.

And given that star midfielder Tom Cairney and wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon have signed new deals this summer, who better to have in front of them than an athletic forward with a sharp eye for goal?

Ultimately, as with any forward coming to English football for the first time, it remains to be seen exactly how he'll adapt the Championship, but there's little doubt that he's got bags of potential, and Fulham would certainly be pulling off quite a coup if they do indeed land him given that Newcastle are reportedly interested, and Premier League giants Manchester United have been in the past.

Thus, getting a deal done for Rolan would be a huge statement of intent heading into the new season that Fulham are serious about return to the Premier League.

Transfer Talk: Reading make bid for Fulham star eyed by Nottingham Forest

Royals need a new number one

Reading have made an offer for Fulham goalkeeper David Button, according to reports.

The Royals are poised to lose current number one Ali Al Habsi, who had a masterful performance to deny the Whites in the Championship play-off semi finals last season, to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.

And Jaap Stam is reportedly keen on signing the former Brentford stopper to replace him.

Button moved to Craven Cottage from Griffin Park last summer and established himself as the club's number one for the majority of the season.

But an error-strewn night at Derby cost him his place in the side with Marcus Bettinelli going in goal for the final eight games of the season plus the play-offs.

Nottingham Forest have also been linked with a move for Button, which would present a reunion with Mark Warburton.

Bettinelli has also been linked with a move away with Bristol City reportedly interested in the stopper.

Fulham failing to agree deal for Diego Rolan is good news for Newcastle

Fulham have reportedly failed to agreed to a deal for Diego Rolan.

According to reports from The Northern Echo, Fulham are yet to agree a deal for Diego Rolan.

Last week, reports emerged that Fulham were poised to sign the Bordeaux striker, after agreeing a fee of £8.8 million.

The 24-year-old scored ten goals last season in 31 games for Bordeaux, and played a key role in helping his side finish sixth in Ligue 1.

The Uruguayan international was in London earlier this week to hold talks with Fulham, but he returned to France without a deal.

This has alerted Newcastle United to hijack a deal for the striker, who has scored 33 goals during his time in Ligue 1.

Rafael Benitez is reportedly determined to make at least four more signings, and Rolan has come on to his radar.

Newcastle could come up with a late offer and the lure of top flight football which could prompt the striker to move to Tyneside. Furthermore, Newcastle will be able to offer higher wages to the player.

Rolan only has one more year on his current deal at Bordeaux, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle step up their interest with a concrete offer.

Aldershot Town boss will make decision on Fulham midfielder, former Spurs full-back and Worthing defender after Chelsea game

'It's a difficult time of the year,' admits Shots boss Gary Waddock

Aldershot Town manager Gary Waddock is hoping to make a decision on Fulham midfielder Foday Nabay, former Tottenham and Woking full-back Frazer Shaw and Worthing centre-back Jack Cook after Wednesday night's friendly against Chelsea U23s.

The trio have been with the Shots training at Bath University in the latter half of this week after featuring for the north Hampshire team in friendlies against Brentford and AFC Totton.

After Bath, the Shots play Hampton & Richmond Borough away on Saturday followed by Staines Town on Tuesday before welcoming the Chelsea Development side to the EBB Stadium on Wednesday.

And after that, it will be crunch time for the trialists.

(Image: Aldershot News and Mail)

"They will come to Bath and then Saturday's game," Waddock said. "We may extend it until after the games on Tuesday and Wednesday and then make a decision. Possibly mid-week after the Chelsea game will be a key time.

"It's a difficult time of the year because players are trying to get contracts and we are looking at certain areas. I just prefer when everything is settled and the league season starts. Then it's more just planning going into the games.

"The friendlies; you have to do it, you have to look at trialists but I'm looking forward to the start of the season already."
