First Team Goalkeeping Coach


This is the first time Carreira is working alongside Slaviša Jokanović as a coach, however he was part of the coaching setup at Deportivo de la Coruna when Jokanović was a player.

Carreira has been part of successful teams in the past. He joined Deportivo in 2000, helping them to win a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey and two Supercopas, and also a second division title.

Deportivo spent five years competing in the Champions League whilst he was there, reaching the quarter-finals twice and the semi-final in 2004.

After 14 years with Deportivo he moved to Turkey and joined the Beşiktaş coaching team. In his third season at the club they won their first league title for 13 years.

He left Turkey and had a short stint at a club in Abu Dhabi before coming to Fulham.

Carreira has his own goalkeeping school in his hometown of La Coruña. Three years ago they had over 100 keepers involved, with his brother, also a goalkeeper coach, as the Director.
