"At the end we suffered when QPR were in our territory and they started to push us in the box with many players. I must be satisfied because we survived this complicated moment. We suffered after their goal but fortunately we defended well and won the game."

Why does it matter that a team is behind? Surely if your tactics have put you ahead you'd be confident of reaching 90 in front? Carry on with an attacking intent, it's worked so far in the game.

Don't get it.

I don't think that what was meant by Joka's statement. We had to get players behind the ball, which meant the midfield dropped deeper, partly with Mac helping to look after Smith. It's " a complicated moment" because it's difficult to build play when you are being forced back. They can take the chance of committing more players forward; we have to defend in numbers. It often gives you more time and space for the breaks, and we did create a couple of really good chances.

Woolly Mammoth

A good point you have made. But sometimes injuries to players and fatigue sets in and sometimes, players unwittingly drop deep, or we lose our shape.
When Matt Smith came on, Jok reverted to three at the back by bringing Odoi on to minimise the threat. As he anticipated the onslaught in the evening of the match, which was magnified by the goal they pulled back.
But that's football, it's a funny old game, which is complicated by rubs of the green or not, and referees decisions or not.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘
