Biggest crowd of the season

Woolly Mammoth

We must all find our voices today, we cannot let the Villians take over our ground on or off the pitch. It does not matter how many they bring, we have more support and should drown them out, but if we sit on our hands then we only have ourselves to blame.
If we can win the battle off the pitch, it should help the Fulham players on the pitch.
We all have to play our part.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Why not get a little bit of canned chanting, we could even put th speaker right above the riverside and Putney. :005: we would have to find some voices chanting to record however  :022:

Can we please stop this absolute nonsense
As Alice said 'If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense'. There is one simple nonsensical problem which perhaps you can explain - the goal roar from, let us say, 25% of a Craven Cottage gate is almost as loud (in dBs) as the same roar from the remaining 75%  (less neutrals etc) when recorded by media equipment located midway above the Riverside Stand.  In essence the latter should be significantly louder (all things being equal) even if only just over a third of those actually cheer a goal.   The acoustics at the Cottage favour the Putney End for reason that are pretty obvious when you look at a plan of the ground.

Even more nonsense 😦
Why not just accept that we just don't have a vocal support ? I sit in Block S of The Riverside and I said before, against Forest you couldn't hear The Hammersmith End for the first 70 minutes, nothing to do with the roof nothing to do with the acoustics but everything to do with the 4000 inhabitants that frequent it,
It's not a complaint,  it's not even a gripe, it's an observation that our support isn't very good, if support was worth a goal (which luckily it isn't) we would be starting today's game 1 Nil down.

Villa will fill the Putney end and every single one will stand and sing all game unless we can score early and shut them up. Hammersmith End has a tiny proportion of singers so it's no wonder they seem quieter.  It's just the way it is.

That said I took a friend from overseas who is a regular attendee at Porto who's never been to the cottage to the notts forest game. We sat in the hammersmith end and his comments were 'great fans, great atmosphere, really great stadium'. And this from a team that has flag wavers and ultras leading chants (i always thought that a bit sad tbh) and I thought it seemed quite lively myself at that fixture to be honest. All a matter of perception I suppose, but the recent Cole Harman work recorded noise levels typical of any ground in the hammersmith end.

This atmosphere thing I don't get, one of my customers is a boro fan and I have got him a ticket in Putney end a few times and he's always remarked about the atmosphere that's generated by fulham fans, now I guess it could always be better still maybe a roof?

And as usual it didn't make a blind bit of difference the amount of fans are in the Putney end. It's about what happens on the pitch.
Just the views of a long term fan

And anyway, I thought we made some decent noise today. The atmosphere was fine.

It will be good to see and hear a big crowd at Craven Cottage
The trouble is we are only going to hear the 6000 Villa supporters, I sit in Putney end and you just do not hear anything from Hammersmith, but i am sure they give their all for the cause.
I absolutely agree and my one regret is that FFC haven't found a solution to carrying the sound of the Hammy End to at least match the Putney End acoustics.  I have mentioned this on other threads and really do not believe it would cost bucketloads for the Club to improve it.  Over a season it would probably be worth a handful of points to us and they may prove priceless in a close run in.

As I said earlier, complete and utter nonsense,  great atmosphere today , same roof though, same acoustics,  same gaps on the side, the only difference that I can was that we had 4000 + in The Hammersmith End that were bang up for it, long may it continue.

Great atmosphere today, long may it continue, COYWs
